Everest Base Camp Short Trek Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the bustling streets of Thamel or relax at your hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,840m), Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
Early morning, take a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, enjoying spectacular mountain views during the 30-minute journey. Upon landing in Lukla, meet your trekking crew and begin trekking towards Phakding. The trail descends through lush forests alongside the Dudh Koshi River, passing small Sherpa villages. Overnight in Phakding.
Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Continue trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges with breathtaking views of Thamserku. Arrive at Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, where your permits will be checked. Trek further to Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Everest region, with stunning views of Kongde Ri and Everest. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m) via Hotel Everest View (3,880m)
Today’s trek starts with a gradual climb up to the Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Continue trekking to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 5: Trek back to Monjo (2,880m) via Namche Bazaar
Descend through lush forests and cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Pass through Namche Bazaar and continue descending to Monjo. Overnight in Monjo.
Day 6: Trek back to Lukla (2,840m)
Today, trek back to Lukla along the same trail, enjoying the last views of the Everest region. This is a pleasant trek, passing through Sherpa villages and beautiful landscapes. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 7: Fly back to Kathmandu
Take an early morning scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying the aerial views of the Himalayas one last time. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. You have the rest of the day free for leisure or optional sightseeing. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Final Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Reflect on your memorable trek to Everest Base Camp and bid farewell to Nepal with a heart full of unforgettable experiences.
